...when trying to leave my parking spot. Some asshat parked illegally behind me and left 3 inches of space. Good thing I left a foot in front.

Yeah, I parked in Queens last night for the first time in years... some jumple-bum squeezed in ahead of me. I guess I lost my NYC parking mojo.

BMW 3 series did that to me over the summer in NYC. Was pissed. Still got out.

This is one reason I miss big chrome bumpers.

I drove around for an hour last night swearing at people who left enough space for a Mini in front and behind them.
It was infuriating.
Could dominate with an Abarth haha.

The only reason I didn’t just keep backing up was because I kept thinking of Austin Powers. Laughter got me through.

Always carry a Schrader-valve removal tool in your glove box.

Damn...I only have pliers, a hammer, baseball bat, shovel, torque wrench and knife. Need to be more prepared!

You can always put a tire on a rope to push with. If you get something with >7L under the hood their Park ain’t gonna mean shit.

I wasn’t suggesting the chrome bumper was for
pushing.
I was suggesting that it would save my bumpers from any damage that might occur while trying to Houdini out of a parking space you’re blocked into.

I know, I was saying take it to the next level by actually pushing free with SHEAR POWER.

Also print a little paper about how you noticed they were exceptionally adept at parking so you’ve (anonymously) administered a pop tire change quiz.

Or, those rubber bumpers you see mounted on Uhaul vans. I want some of those for my front bumper so I can push slow people off the green light they’ve been waiting to turn red. But they would work here too.

Or conversely, two car dollies. Jack that car, slap the dollies under a set of tires, move the car, and then jack/take your dollies back.

I see. Then taking those tires off the peir to push a car into the water would work swimmingly

I just remembered something about pushing with tires.
Every once in a while at my old store, the trash truck would move our dumpster to another part of the lot. (never that far, just 20-30 feet away from where it’s supposed to be. That sucks when you have staff running outside to throw stuff away.
With the ‘86 Ram1500 panel van with a 318 we used to move products between stores and a used tire I took from outside the tire store, I could push that thing wherever I wanted it. I could put it back, I could move it to clean around the pad. It was great!
I even used it to move other store dumpers around, too.
There was a hair cuttery next door, and those bitches used to smoke under my roofed storage area by my back door when it rained. I always asked them nicely to go smoke somewhere else. Every once in a while they would give me lip about it. I knew what days their dumpster pick-up was, so I would usually push their dumpster up against their back door to keep them from smoking out back.
Another time, a new collectables store was moving in on the other side, and they were setting it up to open (installing shelves, getting shipments, etc....) and the employee was putting his garbage in our dumpster. These weren’t community dumpsters - we all paid for our own service. This guy was the biggest asshole I had ever met. I would ask him not to, and he would get belligerent. I would explain that they needed their dumpster for this location, and he would get beligerant. I would tell him that he could use it if there was any room the night before our twice a week pickup, and he would get belligerant. After almost coming to blows once about it, it was obvious that he wasn’t going to stop using our dumpster.
The next morning, I pushed our dumpster up against his back door. I told him that he needed to contact property management to move their dumpster. When the property manager told him that the dumpsters were not their responsibility, he came to me and asked if I could contact my trash company and have them move it. That’s when I told him that he needed to have his owner talk to me about it in person. Not on the phone, but in person.

That’s like an extra 150 pounds to carry around all the time. That valve tool is only a few ounces.

Fair enough, but you don't actually get to move the vehicle if you remove the valve stems. You've just disabled the vehicle, which means it'll be there longer.

Don’t you typically drive a big-ass truck? You could’ve just VROOM’d all over the Bimmer.

The couple pounds of C4 I carry around moves the vehicle quite nicely. It also hides the fact I deflated one of their tires...
